The OH-01 Debate is On

Chabot, Cranley to debate

The two candidates running to represent the 1st Congressional District announced Friday they have agreed to a debate.

Rep. Steve Chabot, a Republican, and Cincinnati City Councilman John Cranley, a Democrat, agreed to meet Oct. 12 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati. The debate is sponsored by the Cincinnati USA Debate Alliance, which includes the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, WCPO-TV, The Cincinnati Enquirer, the League of Women Voters, CET, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, the Cincinnati Business Courier, WVXU, CityBeat, The Cincinnati Herald, and Kids Voting of Southwest Ohio.

The debate will be broadcast live on WCPO, CET and WVXU, and will be streamed live on Cincinnati.com, according to a joint release. The two campaigns are also working to schedule additional debates.
