Several candidates made a push for their election in a couple weeks in Price Hill candidates forum Tuesday night.

Most of the candidates at the forum live on the West side.

The candidates for Congress, Steve Chabot and John Cranley, had five minutes each to explain to Price Hill voters why they deserve to be elected, as well as taking shots at the other over the city's crime.

"When my opponent went to Congress in 1994, there were roughly 300 Section-8 vouchers in Price Hill," said Cranley. "Now, there are 1200."

"It's a community I care a lot about and I don't like some of the things I see happening," responded Chabot, "and some directly relate to the failures of my opponent on his time on Cincinnati city council."

Chabot says Cranley was heading the Law and Public Safety meeting that got out of control the day before the April 2001 riots.
